Common bearings types based on its shape and applications

In common purpose bearings are used to reduce friction between the objects. Now-a-day bearings are important for all the machineries. It is used in all the places like machineries and tools. In these bearings there are many types are available today such as ball bearings, roller bearings, thrust bearings, tapered roller bearing. In these types many sub types are available such as ball bearings have its inner types like deep groove, roller ball bearings. Based on the type of application uses the using ball bearings types can be varies.

Ball bearings:
Ball bearings are rounded pieces of metals used in many industrial applications. The balls in the ball bearings are used to separate between races. The ball bearing function is providing smooth, low-friction movement to rotary-style parts. Ball bearing comes with huge varieties. All bearings types had this variety as the feature, some of the ball bearingsupplier only have these are all varieties.

Deep Groove Ball bearings
It is most commonly used ball bearing type. It is used in machinery parts to avoid too much friction. Deep groove ball bearings are capable of operating at high speeds. The inner and outer ring of single row deep groove ball bearings have a deep groove raceway, the bearings are mainly used to carry radial loads and a part of axial loads in two directions.

Thrust Bearings:
The thrust bearings mostly support axial loads but it support high axial loads and it also support shaft. The thrust bearings are used in high speed applications. The thrust bearing comes with many varieties, such as spherical and angular contact.

Roller bearings:
The roller bearings is placed between two rolling element. Roller bearings have the advantage of a good tradeoff between cost, size, weight, carrying capacity, durability, accuracy, friction, and so on. These roller bearings also have varieties, cylindrical, needle, spherical and tapered.

Spherical bearings:
The spherical bearings carry a high capacity of radial and axial loads in a small envelope due to a large contact area. In some times it is combined with thrust and ball bearing feature. Using these features it is used in many applications.

Tapered Bearings:
The tapered bearings used in the applications of high force radial and axial loads. It is also have inner and outer races but this inner ring is not separable. Combination of tapered with roller bearing is used in vehicle wheel applications.
